Providence Church’s Women’s Ministry seeks to serve women in all seasons of their Christian faith through outreach, fellowship, study, application of God’s Word, mentoring, prayer, and service. You will find a place where women are encouraged and enriched in their walk with Christ - a place where they can develop lasting friendships with other women.

Women’s Bible Study is a unique opportunity to connect with other women both from Providence and the community.  We have both evening and morning studies to accommodate your schedule.   Whether you are a regular attender of Bible study, or this is something totally

new to you, we invite you to join us as women Following Christ Together!

 

 

 

Summer Bible Study

Wednesday mornings, 10am-12noon, June 26-July 31


Join the women of Providence as they study the book of Jonah.  There is no book fee for this study.  Pre-registration is not required. Come when you can. There is no child care provided for this study.   

 

MOPS

MOPS celebrates motherhood, meets needs, connects women, and explores God’s love. This group provides an accepting, caring atmosphere for today’s mothers of preschoolers. Here, moms have the opportunity to share concerns, explore areas of creativity, and hear instruction that equips them for the responsibilities of family and community. These mothers come from different backgrounds and lifestyles, yet have similar needs and a shared desire to be the best moms they can be.

MOPS meetings are held roughly twice a month, September - May, from 9:00-11:00am at Providence and are open to moms who are pregnant with their first child through those whose youngest child is in kindergarten. The MOPS program includes MOPPETS, a loving, learning experience for preschool children.


Registration forms for the 2013-2014 program year will be available at the church office and the Information Center in August.  Registration is first come, first served as there is limited space for children in the Moppets program.  For more information contact Dawn Gerent at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Women's Prayer
Praying with others is a powerful part of our Christian walk; it transforms our hearts as well as our communities. Each Friday women meet at the church to pray for leaders, ministries, the congregation, missionaries, and special requests. Childcare is not available.

Mentoring
Titus 2 instructs the older women in the church to teach the younger women.  This life-to-life ministry can be one of the most impactful experiences of a Christian woman's walk.  Whether this is a long-term relationship, or for a shorter season, mentoring can be a rewarding and meaningful relationship which has life-changing benefits.  We offer mentoring training to women who are interested in mentoring others.  If you would like to be involved in our mentoring program either as a mentor or to be mentored,  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Care Quilt

In addition to providing quilts when special needs arise, the Care Quilt Ministry now ministers to residents in two nursing home facilities. 

There are multiple ways to be involved.  We are especially looking for people who are willing to spend time at the nursing homes where our quilts are delivered.   Delivering a quilt is a great opportunity to meet some dear folks, make a friend, and make their day!  The time commitment for nursing home visitation is very flexible, and can be done for an hour a month, or more as your schedule allows. 

Another way to be involved is to help create the quilts.  We meet the 2nd and 4th Friday every month from 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  No sewing experience is necessary.  Call the church office for more information.

The Care Quilt Ministry meets every second and fourth Friday, from 9am-12pm, at Providence. Childcare is not available.

 

 

Special Events
The women’s ministry makes fellowship a priority.  Throughout the year, women of all ages meet for various social events.  Women’s socials are a great opportunity to connect with other women at Providence.
