FLOCKS Small Groups

In the fast-paced culture in which we live, we must be intentional about building meaningful relationships with other believers. FLOCKS Small Groups knit members into the Providence Church community by studying, praying, and living life - together.

The values of a FLOCKS Small Group reflect the focus of Providence Church:

  • Fellowship should be a regular part of the Christian life, where believers can share their gifts, insights, and life experiences.
  • Leadership skills are developed in FLOCKS Small Groups as members share and strengthen their God-given gifts. Leaders are always looking for potential leaders whom they can mentor and train for future leadership opportunities.
  • Outreach events, planned by each FLOCKS Small Group, occur throughout the year. They keep the group focused in the right direction - on sharing Christ’s story with the people who need Him.
  • Caring for other Christians by sharing a meal, fixing a roof, or watching other’s children can be the most powerful way to show Christ’s love - not to mention a compelling example of that love to those who don’t know Him.
  • Knowledge, a thorough understanding of the Scripture helps bring Christians to maturity. In FLOCKS Small Groups, the group discovers a proper interpretation of a Bible text, then brainstorms ways to apply those truths to everyday life.
  • Salt brings out the flavor; it changes the meal for better. FLOCKS Small Groups are the salt of their communities by not staying to themselves, but getting involved in their communities to change them for the better.
