Mentoring (commitment: varies)

Titus 2 instructs older women in the church to teach the younger women. If you are a young woman interested in having a mentor, Providence will match you with a mentor from the church. Likewise, women who feel a calling to serve as mentors should contact the church office. Training is provided. This life-on-life ministry can be one of the most impactful experiences of the Christian walk.

Women’s Prayer (commitment: Fridays, 10:30 – 11:30am)
Each Friday morning, women meet to cover the church in prayer and to pray for personal needs. Women are invited to pray with this group as their schedules permit; a commitment to every week is not necessary.

Special Event Volunteer (commitment: plan and/or volunteer at special events)
Throughout the year, the women’s ministry offers several large social gatherings, such as the Women’s Christmas Brunch. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate these events or to help out on the day of the event itself.

Care Quilt Ministry (commitment: 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month, 9am – 12pm)
Whether you have sewing experience or not, the Care Quilt Ministry invites you to this time of service and fellowship. After the completion of the quilts, they are delivered in person with the message of Jesus Christ to patients undergoing cancer treatments.

Weekday Child Care Staff (commitment: two hours per week, September through May)
Volunteers are needed to watch and teach preschool aged children during daytime women’s events.
