The Purpose of Our Worship
Sunday worship at Providence Church has two purposes: adoration and encouragement. The primary purpose is to give God the unhindered attention and adoration of His people as we pray, praise, and hear His Word proclaimed. By understanding more fully Who God is and our relationship to Him as His people, we are strengthened and encouraged to live worthy of His Name.

How We Worship
Worship is not just the musical aspect of the service. Every part of the Sunday worship service is an invitation to worship as long as we are doing it to glorify God. We agree with A. W. Tozer that...

“Spectator worship has and always will be an oxymoron."

Providence Church bases all aspects of worship on the Word of God. Our purpose is to focus our minds on God and His character through corporate prayer, worship, giving, communion, and teaching. We blend traditional and contemporary music styles, understanding that the heart of the worshipper is an important aspect of worship, followed by Pastor Jim Bzdafka’s sermon which typically teaches through a passage or book of the Bible. We come together as a body with one mind - focused on giving glory to God.
