The student ministry at Providence exists to help our young people identify with Christ and live out that identity together.
- Relevant Gospel: We seek to impress upon students that the gospel has implications both in the life to come and in our lives here and now. This is emphasized in our teaching times as well as life group discussions.
- Leaders Who Lead: Paul gave a concise yet profound command in 1 Corinthians 11:1: “Follow me as I follow Christ.” In order for students to live out their identity in Christ, they need to see the Christian life modeled for them. We have a great group of leaders who are committed to forming relationships with our students and demonstrating what it means to follow Christ.
- Student Ownership: For students to live out their identity in Christ, they need to own their faith. Life groups provide a safe environment for asking hard questions and developing a biblical worldview. Students are also encouraged to take ownership of the youth group through participation in various teams helping to lead worship, plan outreach nights, etc.
- Community: As a part of Providence, the student ministry shares the church’s mission of Following Christ Together. This means creating opportunities and environments that allow students to build supportive and encouraging relationships with one another. This is where our events and life groups are key.
