Welcome to our new addition!

After over two years of anticipation, we are finally in our new building expansion. This is all thanks to our incredibly generous church, who came together in our two-year generosity campaign, Forward Together. This expansion is a massive milestone in the life of our church. Our Children and Youth Ministry will now have more space to engage in God's word during the week through Awana and Youth Group. Plus, we have an additional space for our adult ministries to welcome the increasing number of people calling Providence Church their home.

We're grateful for everyone who partnered with us while we pursued our vision of Forming Families, Equipping Saints, and Multiplying Churches.

What You Should Know

Starting Sunday, June 28, we will begin using our new addition. This includes a new back door entrance and Children's Ministry entrance. Because of the addition of multiple new classrooms, we took the opportunity to update our room numbers. Please check your check-in tag or registration for the new room number. We have wayfinding signage placed around the church to lead you to your classroom.

This page will act as a single location for questions and information for the move into the new building, so please read through each section as it pertains to you and your family.

POINTS OF INTEREST

LEARN MORE

BACK ENTRANCE

A new back entrance will streamline traffic flow on Sunday mornings, alleviating congestion and improving accessibility.

MULTIPURPOSE ROOM

A new multipurpose space will be used to host events bigger than room 16/17 but smaller than the Worship Center. Additionally, this will give us the opportunity to host both AWANA and Youth Group on the same night, giving families the ability to attend separate ministries simultaneously.

UPPER ROOM

This space will accommodate our growing Youth Group. Additionally, this will offer the opportunity for our Youth Group and AWANA to meet on Wednesday nights.

CLASSROOMS

The addition of classrooms will enable us to host more ministries throughout the week and on Sunday mornings, allowing us to provide more opportunities for adults.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY ENTRANCE

The new entrance to the Children's Ministry will enhance traffic flow and security. With the addition of a dedicated hallway entrance, we can better manage access to the Children's Ministry wing, ensuring improved protection for our kids on Sunday mornings.

RESTROOMS

With the growth of our ministry activities and increased Sunday morning attendance, the need for additional restrooms has become evident.

Children's ministry FAQS

Is sunday morning check in changing?

Children's Ministry check-in has a brand-new home, located right off our new hallway! This is where you'll check your kids in and pick them up each Sunday morning. Good news — the process and check-in tags you already know are staying exactly the same, so there's nothing new to learn!

HOW do I pick up my child/children?

When it's time to grab your kids on Sunday morning, just head back through our new Children's Ministry check-in area and show your pickup tag to your child's teacher — easy as that!

What does this mean for awana?

Great news — Awana is moving to Wednesday nights! This means your whole family can come together on the same night, even while heading off to different programs. One less night on the calendar, more time together as a family.

general FAQS

Where Am I going?

We encourage you to take a look at our facility map at the bottom of this page. This should help give you a clear picture of our new addition. Additionally, we have placed wayfinding signs around the building to help you find your way.

Where should I park?

You can still park anywhere you would like, but we are encouraging those who call Providence Church their home to park towards the back of the church to leave room for new guests and our elderly in the front.

What can I expect?

Think of our new addition as the main road through the building — it's now the easiest way to get where you're going! Our old hallway off the foyer will be closing, making way for a dedicated Children's Ministry exit. When picking up your children or exiting the building please go through our new addition.

Where are the new bathrooms?

You'll find our brand-new bathrooms in the new addition, just off the foyer. Our existing bathrooms will now be reserved exclusively for our Children's Ministry.

Project FAQS

How much did this cost?

Building this new facility represents a $6.3 million investment in our future — and our vision of Forming Families, Equipping Saints, and Multiplying Churches

How long did construction take?

Construction broke ground in spring 2024 and is on track to wrap up later this year! Once the new facility opens, we'll turn our attention to additional renovations in our children's ministry.

Are we still church planting?

Our commitment to church planting is as strong as ever! Pastor Michael Campbell is launching a brand-new church plant in Olmsted Township, and we couldn't be more excited to see this vision come to life. Want to be part of it from the ground floor? Reach out to Pastor Michael directly, or join his vision meeting in the Upper Room on July 12 to learn more.
